What this is, and what it isn't.

Risks, availability, costs and how your data moves. Read it before you approve anything in your wallet.

What ShareShift is

ShareShift is a Solana interface for shifting supported tokens into tokenized stocks and funds. You choose a token you already hold, choose a supported destination, review a quote and approve the trade in your own wallet. The destination token is sent to that same wallet.

ShareShift is not a pension, a 401(k), or a tax-advantaged investment account. It is not a broker, a custodian or an adviser, and nothing on this site is investment, legal or tax advice. There is no ShareShift token, staking, yield or referral scheme.

What is switched on today

This table is read from the running site, so it describes this deployment rather than a plan.

Demo

Available

Sample assets, quotes and receipts. No wallet, keys or transactions.

Wallet connection

Off

This deployment runs as a product preview.

Balances

Off

Wallet connection is off in this product preview.

Live trading

Off

No verified instrument is listed yet, so there is nothing to shift into. Issuer eligibility checks aren't set up, so nobody can be confirmed as eligible. This deployment runs as a product preview. It is published as static pages, with no trading server behind it. Live trading is switched off for this deployment. The trading provider is not configured. No Solana RPC endpoint is configured. Order binding is not configured.

Verified instruments

0

None listed yet. Example instruments exist only in the demo.

Public board

Off

No listing service is running, so the public board is empty.

Tokenized exposure, in plain language

A tokenized stock or fund is a token created by an issuer to track an underlying asset, such as a share or an index fund. Holding the token is not automatically the same as holding the share through a broker.

  • Your rights (for example to dividends, votes or redemption) are whatever the issuer's documentation says they are, and they can differ from a shareholder's.
  • The token's price is set by trading onchain. It can move away from the price of the underlying asset, especially when that asset's home market is closed.
  • You rely on the issuer and its custodians to hold the backing assets as described.

Every live market on ShareShift will show the instrument's underlying reference, its token identity on Solana and its issuer, with a link to the issuer's terms. A ticker alone never identifies an instrument.

Risks

  • Market risk. The destination token can fall in value, including to zero. Nothing here promises a return.
  • Liquidity and execution. Routes and liquidity change from minute to minute. A quote is an estimate; the trade can complete at a worse amount within the limit shown in the review, or fail and leave your token where it was.
  • Issuer risk. A tokenized instrument depends on its issuer, its custodians and the legal structure behind it.
  • Technical risk. Wallets, smart contracts, the network and the services this site relies on can have faults or outages. Self-custody means mistakes in your wallet cannot be reversed by ShareShift.
  • The token you sell. Selling a token is final. If it rises afterwards, you no longer hold it.

Availability and eligibility

Tokenized instruments carry issuer and geographic restrictions. For example, xStocks states that its tokens are not available in the United States or to U.S. persons, that they are not currently available in the United Kingdom, and that other geographic restrictions apply.

ShareShift will not list an instrument until its issuer, token identity and restrictions have been verified, and it will not prepare a trade for someone an issuer's rules exclude. A tick box is not an eligibility check, so there isn't one. Until a real eligibility check exists, live trading stays off.

Costs

The review shows the costs the quote provides before you approve: the trading provider's fee, the network costs, and the minimum you would receive where the provider supplies one. ShareShift adds no fee of its own. Where a figure isn't provided, the review says so instead of showing a guess. Your wallet's approval screen is the final word on what you are signing.

One transaction is the standard route. If a route ever needs something different, the review will say so before it asks for approval.

How your data moves

  • The demo runs entirely in your browser. No wallet is involved, and nothing you do in it is sent to ShareShift's server, a trading provider or a Solana node.
  • When you connect a wallet, the page can read your public address. ShareShift's server sends that address to a Solana RPC provider to read balances, and sends the list of tokens you hold to Jupiter's token and price APIs to name and value them.
  • When you ask for a quote, your address, the two tokens and the amount go to Jupiter's swap API through ShareShift's server. The signed transaction you approve goes the same way.
  • On your device, ShareShift saves which wallet you connected, your confirmed receipts, and a record of any transaction still being checked. It never sees or stores a seed phrase or private key, and it never asks for one.

Anything you do onchain is public and permanent, whether or not it is shown on the board.

Providers and documentation

ShareShift is an independent interface. Naming a provider below describes how the product is built; it does not mean that provider endorses, operates or has reviewed ShareShift.
